Council reconsider an ordinance amending the municipal code as it relates to temporary land uses - City Manager, City Attorney

Recommend:

Council give Second Reading by Title Only with Further Reading Waived, and adopt "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALIFORNIA CITY AMENDING THE CITY OF CALIFORNIA CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT RELATES TO TEMPORARY LAND USES"

15. NEW BUSINESS 1:      Support Material

Authorization to obtain bids on the Motocross track & Ladv of the Rock infrastructure - Director of Public Works

Recommend:

Council authorizes staff to seek bids for the construction of the Motocross track and Lady of the Rock infrastructure projects.

Fiscal Impact/Environmental Action: Engineer's estimate is $1,295,740.00, to be paid out of SDI Funds./ CEQA document has been approved and is on file with the City's planning department.

16. NEW BUSINESS 2: Council consider Fire Department's request to hire structural engineer - Fire Chief      Support Material

Recommend:

Council approve the City Engineer to contract out for structural engineer services and follow up with the scope of

work as listed.

Fiscal Impact / Environmental Action:

Approximately $15,000.00            up front cost with reimbursement from the State. / None

17. NEW BUSINESS 3:      Support Material

Council approve bid by Lavne Christensen Company, Barstow, Ca. to construct well #16, Option A - Public Works Director

Recommend:

Council approve bid, give order to proceed with construction of Well #16

Council consider authorizing PERS 2-year Golden Handshake Early Retirement Incentive to eligible employees - City Manager

Recommend:

City Council adopt "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALIFORNIA CITY TO GRANT ANOTHER DESIGNATED PERIOD FOR TWO YEARS ADDITIONAL SERVICE CREDIT".

Fiscal Impact / Environmental Action:

The PERS cost for the 6 employees to take this offer will be reflected in the City's PERS rates in 2 years. The miscellaneous rate will increase by 0.003% and the safety rate will increase by 0.005%. Other costs involved with this offer are payouts totaling $171,700 in accumulated leave./ None
